After years of working on heating and cooling systems across the UK, we knew exactly what we wanted from a filter, something practical, effective, and built for the way real systems run. That’s what led us to develop the SludgeBuster™ range.

The SludgeBuster™ range was built to do the job right, simple as that.

We’ve refined and re-engineered this product through years of hands-on experience, adapting it to suit the way real systems operate. Every design choice reflects what we’ve learned from flushing, servicing, and protecting systems across the UK, with one aim: to give engineers kit that performs where it matters most.

All three MagBag models are equipped with stainless steel baskets for initial debris capture, followed by a centralised vertical magnetic rod engineered for effective removal of suspended iron oxide and magnetite. The magnetic core is easily removable, allowing for fast, tool-free cleaning during scheduled maintenance.

Each unit also features bag filtration, enabling you to tailor the level of filtration to your system — from general coarse capture to high-performance polishing down to 0.5 microns. This multi-stage approach delivers comprehensive protection across varying flow conditions and contamination levels.

For systems experiencing oxygen ingress — particularly those incorporating plastic or rubber pipework where diffusion is common — an optional magnesium anode rod can be added. This provides passive corrosion control by reacting with free oxygen before it causes internal degradation or contributes to sludge formation.

The MAGBAG setup supports best-practice water quality management. For enhanced performance, we recommend pairing the MagBag with a demineralisation unit — helping to reduce total dissolved solids (TDS) and conductivity, thereby limiting corrosion risk and improving long-term system stability.
